Our exclusive Ultra Grip Roller features a high coefficient of friction which is ideal for applications such as paper feeding and driving sanding belts. These rollers are produced using our top of the line polyurethane processing capabilities and a single pass process for introducing the friction augmenting grooves. Kunz Industries developed this process over 40 years ago and no other company has it. Our single pass process engraves the grooves in a uniform, precise and speedy fashion. These equally spaced grooves can be engraved closer together or further apart. The distance between the grooves corresponds to a change in the surface friction of the roller. Depending on the application, a higher surface friction or lower surface friction is needed. Kunz's highly trained staff will determine just what density of grooves you need and will manufacture the rollers in the exact size required. Our employees will find solutions for any breakdown situation, custom system requirement, or system refurbishing job. These rollers come in a variety of standard or custom colors, and range in hardness from 40 durometer to 70 durometer. Non marking polyurethane is also available. |
