Urethane bumper using 50-A red polyurethane into a premade mold.

A client in the military industry was in need of a urethane bumper. The component was formed by casting 50-A red polyurethane into a premade mold. A 3/4" hex nut was used as a bonded in mounting fixture. The protective bumper had an O.D. of 2.25", a height of 2.25", and had a 5" radius on one end to increase flexibility and durability. We produced 1,000 of these units for our customer each week for 6 weeks.
